Jolley Jersey

Over the weekend I worked on the jersey. I thought I would use an invisible zipper, but had to switch to a regular zipper because invisible zippers hide within a seam line. This jersey calls for a centered insert. I have enough of it together to slip it on my dress form:

Bear in mind, the jersey is wrong side out. I want to document the seam lines. Geez, I wished I looked as good as this dress form does. What a guy!!

G'night. :-)

  1. You are a brave sewer! The thought of a zipper in that thin knit would have me stuck in limbo forever. It's looking good.

  2. The insertion of the zipper on this patter is common for athletic wear, but unlike anything one might find in a skirt or seamed garment. This was really a learning experience for me. When i finish it up I'll do a closeup of the bottom of the zipper. I had a lot of trouble with it and think i know what went wrong. My immediate problem is how to cover it up. :-)
