Easter and progress on the Vest
After an early Easter dinner, I was able to return to my vest. I've never done darts before and never worked with a lined garment. I feel like I've been learning origami. The muslin isn't finished, but it seems to fit. I had some concerns about the back length. The pattern assumed and much longer spine than God gave me to work with, so I had a lot of shortening to do. Until I've got buttonholes and buttons on, I won't be sure of the fit around the waist. I made a couple of big errors on the double welt pockets, but tried again up higher. There's also a 1" split on the side seams that I have to look to do better on the final garment.
